Reenergising Australia’s leading solar energy brand
Edify Energy is at the forefront of the Australian renewable and green-tech industry, working across the entire energy project lifecycle, from development and financing through to construction and asset management. Since inception, they have pioneered and led the market, transforming opinions, building brand trust and delivering ground-breaking green energy solutions.
We originally helped to successfully launch Edify Energy in 2015, when the industry was emerging as a viable alternative. Since then, the renewable energy market has been transformed into a global phenomenon. So five years on, the brand needed to evolve to match their standing as a market-leading force for change and respond to further market competition. We needed to ensure Edify presented an engaging and consistent, impact-focused narrative that built upon an established legacy of success.
Our original identity concept referenced Edison's most famous invention: the light bulb. This acted as a visual shorthand for energy, invention and collaboration, as well as referencing the double letter ‘e’. In order to build on the established brand equity we needed to evolve this mark. By developing the form into one which felt more controlled, we reflected Edify’s transition from youthful disrupter to an established and mature organisation. We also subtly alluded to a heart symbol, in recognition of Edify’s passion for the planet and commitment to communities. We hope Thomas Edison would approve.
The icon forms the central identity element to deliver a message of collaboration; connecting businesses, landowners, local authorities and brands in the pursuit of a cleaner, greener future. An energetic colour palette and bold typography balance confidence and ambition with a sense of maturity and refinement.
We designed the website to deliver a smooth and intuitive user experience, full of clarity, energy and impact. We used interactive elements to showcase key achievements and dynamic scrolling menus to access core content. Fully responsive, the site presents a clean, crisp service-based brand that is on the leading edge of technological environmental impact.
